Birth and Postpartum Doula Services

Birth Doula Packages

Standard Birth Package - $1,250

This package includes: 

  • An experienced doula (≥10 Births).
  • 1 complimentary consultation.
  • 2 prenatal meetings.
  • Attendance of labour and birth.
  • Remain with client 1-2 hours after birth.
  • 1 postpartum home visit.

  • Birth & postpartum essential care package: Traditional Medicinals' raspberry leaf tea (16 tea bags), apple cider vinegar, padsicles, mesh undies, and a postpartum sitz bath ($45 value).

  • Use of a birth pool and/or Tens machine ($200 value).

Sleepy Parent Package - $1,350

This package includes:
  • Everything from the Standard Package.
  • PLUS
  • Newborn Sleep Consulting Package ($247 value).

A Doula is:

  • Nonjudgmental
  • Experienced with pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postpartum period
  • Up to date with information
  • There for emotional support and encouragement
  • Excited to try different comfort techniques during labour
  • Not medically trained
  • Able to provide continuous support unlike medical staff
  • Able to support every family dynamic
  • Able to help the partner find his/her place in the labouring room
  • There so that the partner can sleep/rest when needed
  • There to help advocate for labouring clients to medical staff
  • There to support labouring client in all of her decisions during labour
  • There to help with all extra needs

Postpartum Doula Rates

Day Rate: $32/hr from​ 8 am - 6 pm

Night Rate: $37/hr from 6 pm - 8 am

Duties:

  • Helps mothers to learn to care for their babies.
  • Offers suggestions for postpartum comfort.
  • Supports family through the transition of a new member.
  • Guides family in infant care techniques.
  • Helps mother avoid postpartum conditions.
  • Helps family learn about feeding.
  • Access to a breast pump.
  • Gives community resources.
  • Prepares simple meals/snacks.
  • Handles phone calls and answers the door.
  • Light housekeeping and laundry.
  • Help care for older siblings.
  • Help with errands.
  • Care for baby while parents sleep/rest.
  • Provide overnight support.
